Megan Fox doesn't want to be like Scarlett Johansson:

The "Transformers" actress claims she hates having to keep showing that she's smart to be taken seriously.

"I don't want to be like Scarlett Johansson, despite having nothing against her", revealed the actress to the magazine "Esquire".

"But I don't want to have to go to talk shows and show my grades on the entrance exam, something like 'Take me seriously, I'm smart, I can talk.'"

According to the actress, she doesn't want to do this.

"I hate to have to prove to time that I'm not retarded, but I end up doing it. And it's partly my fault. I'm very confident about my sexuality. And I think that's pretty obvious."

My comment

Seriously, good for her for speaking up. She and every woman can absolutely both be public and open about her sexuality, plus also possess thoughtful and nuanced opinions about anything else she likes.

Or crap opinions. Or any opinions. That’s the point, really. Being public about being sexual shouldn’t have any effect on how the rest of us judge her opinions, or any content in the remainder of her life.

There’s this idea that if a woman wishes to enjoy being sexual, then that’s somehow an attack on any other aspect of her personality and life. That Madonna/Whore nonsense.

Nah. Fuck whomever you please (naturally with the happy consent of all involved, plus be responsible, contraception etc); and think whatever you please. Both at once.

She or any woman (or any man, no less important for men, but let’s face it, women get far more flak about this) can absolutely do both.
